actSAY (Action for Sustainability and Youth) is a not-for-profit organisation that arose from the aspirations to educate youths on sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in particular.

At actSAY, we believe that a youth conscious of the relationships among the social, economical and environmental worlds and the resulting implications, would be the guarantor of a better future. Given their enormous energy and ability to influence, we see today’s youths as a key force in further promoting the message to other groups in society and future generations, while encouraging the practice of sustainability in businesses.

Therefore, our programme has been conceived to raise awareness and encourage critical thinking about the multiple implications brought about by our daily decisions and actions, as well as those of businesses. We aim to foster sustainable behaviour in people’s interactions with these actors in the economy. These actions can be as simple as in how we choose to work, how we choose to buy and how we choose to live.

Our vision:

To empower youth to take responsibility in shaping a sustainable future.

Our main goals:

  • To run workshops on sustainability and CSR in schools in Singapore on a regular basis.
  • To become one of the major agents bringing together the new generation of socially-responsible workers and businesses and making both parties better understand each other’s needs and expectations.
  • To become a portal of reference for information on sustainability and CSR for young individuals.

Because sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility involves many concerns of society, such as environmental protection, improvement of labour conditions and community involvement, actSAY is committed to collaborate with businesses, civil societies and government bodies to seek synergies for more effective outreach.
